Timestamp is changed when updating tags (Option not working)

I have disabled "Modify Timestamp". But when I change tags, the timestamp is also set to the current date.
I have my files on a samba share on linux (is this a problem?). I'm using MM 3.1.0.1256.

Most likely yes. MM communicate using MS Timestamp formats and in some cases of RAID 1 (Mirror) original timestamp preservation flag is ignored.

Test on some Local HDD files and see if both of us are right in assumption.
