iPhone 7 can't load music

After smashing my old phone I bought an iPhone 7.

When I plug it in I get a dialogue box saying that the "firmware is not compatible" and "I can view but not write to it".

MM and iOS are both most recent. Am I missing something or is it just a waiting game until MM gets updated?

There was few zero day regressions which are fixed and Update should report new versions now.
