Date / Original Date

Hi there,

I am a heavy user of date in auto playlist generation

I would like to understand how best to automatically set original date. Ideally I would fully populate originate and date for my entire library. This is easy and relatively simple with album releases, and mostly pretty straight forward for VA releases that are done based on a particular year, like So Fresh for example. I can live with a bit of inaccuracy if a song is released on album in say 2018, but added to a VA release in 2019.

However this is problematic for Best Of compilations and VA compilations for a time period, or genre decade (Best of Country, Best of Johhny Cash, or Best of the 80's as examples)

What is the best way to populate the original date, for these type of compilations?
