I've been noticing a major cpu usage with MM3 ever since i started using it a several betas ago.
Now here is a screen capture i just made:
www.erkkila.fi/puumaja/MM3_cpu_screencap.JPG
into which i have marked the song changes etc.
- with every song change the cpu rises very high, often up to 100%
- while changing song the system freezes for a moment (really noticable lag when using phoshop for example)
- sometimes system hangs completely for a while (the red line on the screen cap)
- even while normally playing the cpu usage is quite high? it's only music playback after all...
What do you think?
I didnt notice similar issues with MM2 (dont have it installed atm).
Anyone else had similar experiences?
Any help or tips (even concerning computer stuff in general - i am not too experience on that era) are more than welcome!
i have done several total reinstalls. at one point i even reinstalled windows (not because of this...).
Thanks!

Could you give some info on your computer?
On my 3.4GHz with HyperThreading, CPU use does jump when I skip a song or a song ends and a new one plays, but I never see it jump to more than 24%.
Are you using the 'regular' or debug version?
Also, what happens during the gap before your CPU gets maxed out?

oh, i have an old and slow amd sempron 1,05ghz.
but i dont think a media player should be too big a task for it...
before the freeze i have just changed a song...
and no, i dont have auto-analyze volume on...
so - no one else has experienced similar issues?
i faintly remember some discussion about the issue some months back? cant find it now...
